Campbell Soup Company Partners with The Grammy Foundation® to Help Children Rediscover Music in Schools

Campbell Commitment to Nourishing Children's Potential - Since 1973, Campbell has been dedicated to nourishing the potential of children in and out of the classroom through a number of initiatives including its very successful Labels For EducationSM program. The Labels for Education program is the longest running program of its kind and, since its inception in 1973, billions of labels have been redeemed and more than $110 million in educational tools and equipment including computers, athletic gear, and event vans, have been provided to participating schools.

Refreshed Labels for Education Program - Research found that students involved in arts and athletics earn better grades, perform better on standardized tests and are less likely to drop out of school, but many of these programs are being eliminated due to budget pressures1. This year, Campbell is refreshing the Labels for Education program to place a stronger focus on what schools and teachers need to offer students a well-rounded education.

Partnership with the GRAMMY Foundation® - To launch the refreshed Labels for Education program, Campbell developed a partnership with the GRAMMY Foundation®, which was established in 1989 to support music education and the future of the music industry in America.  Through the GRAMMY Foundation partnership, approximately 30,000 schools currently participating in Labels for Education will gain access to resources like proprietary Discovery Through Music curriculum, which integrates subjects like math and language arts into traditional music lessons, and potential school visits from GRAMMY Foundation Artist Ambassadors.

GRAMMY Foundation Discovery Through Music Curriculum - The proprietary six-week Discovery Through Music curriculum is a tangible example of the partnership and commitment to music education shared by Campbell and the GRAMMY Foundation. Customized for children in kindergarten through 6th grade, the new curriculum will help young students understand the basic elements of music, including beat, tempo, rhythm and pitch, into and apply these fundamentals in the lesson plans for language arts, math, science and technology.
